Fresh: Cheese & Butter
Our assorted cheeses come from Hawaii's first established goat dairy, Lava Rocks Goat Dairy, in Kurtistown, and Hawaii Island Goat Dairy, in Honokaʻa. Both farms and their farmers focus on happy, healthy goats of assorted breeds. These lovely, pastured herds are also responsible for our luxuriously moisturizing line of goat's milk soaps.
The unique protein structure and lower lactose content of goat dairy make it easier to digest for many people with lactose intolerance and dairy allergies. Overall, goat dairy contains fewer calories and fat than cows milk, while offering very similar amounts of important vitamins and nutrients, like iron, protein, calcium, potassium, Vit B6, and Vit A.
Lalamilo Farms gets fresh, island milk from pastured cows and turns it into beautiful, yellow butter. The herds are maintained without the use of hormones or antibiotics, so you can enjoy the simple pleasure of fresh, flavorful, grass-fed butter without the worry of unwanted extras.
