Honey Spelt bread deliveries are on Thursdays only - next delivery will be Thursday, January 8th.
100% freshly milled spelt flour, an ancient grain with a nutty and slightly sweet flavor, and Kona Coffee & Tea estate honey. Fermented for over 30 hours. This dense, dark pan loaf is a hearty side to soups and stews and gives some extra oompf to a simple breakfast.
Spelt is comparable to whole wheat in flavor, but is higher in protein and minerals. It also has a high water solubility, making it possibly easier to digest.
