Michael Nizo is a talented artist from Hilo, originally hailing from Kekaha, Kauaʻi, who has turned his passion for woodwork into a successful business called Nizo Natural Precision. His work primarily involves crafting finely designed Hawaiian-themed laser-cut pieces using various woods such as Koa, Birch, Poplar, and Mahogany. Michael creates a wide array of items, including jewelry, educational puzzles, key chains, lamps, coasters, and ornaments, which he showcases and sells primarily at craft fairs.

Michael’s journey is particularly inspiring given that he became quadriplegic at the age of 14 after a life-changing accident. Despite the challenges, he has built his business by mastering laser-cutting technology, allowing him to create intricate designs with precision. He works out of his studio in Panaʻewa, Hilo, where he produces his distinctive pieces that celebrate Hawaiian culture and craftsmanship.
