Pū’iwa Hawaiian Farms was founded to produce the highest quality and supply of all Hawaiian’ ‘awa cultivars. Hawaiian ‘awa, better known around the world as kava, is a plant whose roots are used in traditional Melanesian and Polynesian societies to help bring people together through shared consumption. Modern western usage of ‘awa is often used to help reduce anxiety and promote more restful sleep.
All varieties are grown on Pūʻiwa's 215 acre farm in Pāpaʻikou using regenerative, organic forward practices. Each batch is harvested at peak maturity, processed with strict quality control, and maintained under cold chain handling from harvest to delivery.
