Wild-Caught Ono (Wahoo) Fillets (Vacuum-Sealed, Frozen)
Firm, clean, and mild with a slightly sweet flavor. Ono (wahoo) has a dense texture—almost like chicken—so it holds up really well on the grill or in a hot pan. Vacuum-sealed to keep it fresh until you’re ready to cook.
Best cooked hot and fast:
- Pan-sear: 1–2 min per side
- Grill: high heat (~400°F), 2–3 min per side
- Bake: 8–10 min at 400–425°F
- Target temp: 120–130°F (medium-rare to medium)
Pat dry before cooking so you get a good sear. Don’t overcook—it dries out quickly. Finish with a little oil, butter, or citrus and keep it simple.
